WASHINGTON -- A Republican congressman from
Georgia said Monday he fears that President-elect Obama will establish
a Gestapo-like security force to impose a Marxist or fascist
dictatorship.
"It
may sound a bit crazy and off base, but the thing is, he's the one who
proposed this national security force," Rep. Paul Broun said of Obama
in an interview Monday with The Associated Press. "I'm just trying to
bring attention to the fact that we may -- may not, I hope not -- but
we may have a problem with that type of philosophy of radical socialism
or Marxism."
Broun cited a July speech by Obama that has circulated on
the Internet in which the then-Democratic presidential candidate called for a civilian force to take some of the national
security burden off the military.
"That's exactly what Hitler did in Nazi Germany and it's exactly what the Soviet Union
did," Broun said. "When he's proposing to have a national security force that's answering to him, that is as strong as the
U.S. military, he's showing me signs of being Marxist."
Obama's
comments about a national security force came during a speech in
Colorado about building a new civil service corps. Among other things,
he called for expanding the nation's foreign service and doubling the
size of the Peace Corps "to renew our diplomacy."
"We
cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the
national security objectives that we've set," Obama said in July.
"We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as
powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."
Broun said he also believes Obama likely
will move to ban gun ownership if he does build a national police force.
Obama
has said he respects the Second Amendment right to bear arms and favors
"common sense" gun laws. Gun rights advocates interpret that as meaning
he'll at least enact curbs on ownership of assault weapons and
concealed weapons. As an Illinois state lawmaker, Obama supported a ban
on semiautomatic weapons and tighter restrictions on firearms generally.
"We can't be lulled into complacency," Broun said. "You have
to remember that Adolf Hitler was elected in a democratic Germany. I'm not comparing him to Adolf Hitler. What I am saying
is that there is the potential."
Obama's transition office did not respond immediately to Broun's remarks.

Talk
of peace and unity - coming together as "one people" with a common
purpose - talk of a "national civilian security force". All these
things that Obama and his supporters have been joyfully promoting and
often vigorously pushing are paving the way for the Anti-christ. The
message of unity, peace, and coming together as one people that we will
now be hearing repetitively over the next several years is meant to
desensitize us and prepare our minds and hearts to more readily accept
the same message from the Anti-christ.
This "national civilian security force" that is being proposed by
Obama will lead to conservative Christians who stand up for morality
and stand against gay rights, abortion, false religions, witchcraft,
occultism, and other immoral, un-Biblical things being persecuted,
"reported" to the authorities, arrested, and jailed. There will be
"watchmen" in this security force whose sole purpose will be to alert
authorities to suspected violators. Some in these security forces, I am
sure, will even take what they perceive to be justice into their own
hands.
Our First Amendment rights will be taken away and any speech that
is perceived to be "hate speech" by the deceived masses will be
reported by these watchmen. Hate speech, in their minds, would include
speaking out against homosexuals and other sinful lifestyles, speaking
out against abortion, speaking out against false religions (including
Islam), and expressing disagreement with the new President's policies
and leadership. Pulpits will be silenced, media ministries will lose
their ability to reach a sinful and dying world, sharing the Gospel in
any way will become a hate crime if you tell people the Truth, that
they are sinners and need to repent.
Yes, we are living in perilous times. We are seeing prophecy being
fulfilled concerning the last days. Please be vigilant and do not let
the enemy deceive you. He will try, as scripture says he will, so that
even the elect are deceived, and I am afraid he has already succeeded
with many who claim to wear the name of Jesus Christ. He has already
succeeded in getting some of the elect to vote for a man who will be
his hand puppet of deception.
NOW is the time WE must be the watchmen on the walls and
warn our brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, grandparents, extended
family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers that they need to repent -
before our freedom to do so is taken away and those who don't know
Christ will have their fate sealed unto death.

brightness, and her salvation as a burning lamp."

I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel,
(20) for which I am an ambassador in bonds; so that in it I may speak
boldly, as I ought to speak."
